CACI stands for Conditions AME Can Issue – this is a series of conditions which allow AMEs to regular issue if the applicant meets the parameters of the CACI Condition Worksheet.
AASI stands for Assisted Special Issuance – is a process that allows the AME to reissue an airman medical certificate to an applicant who has a medical condition that is disqualifying under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations. These conditions require annual documentation submitted to the FAA.
SI stands for Special Issuance – this is a “plan of care” set by the FAA. If you have a disqualifying medical condition, your AME cannot issue until it is cleared by the FAA.
