D ARNOLD TILLMAN, MD, ATP, CFI

Dr. Tillman began his aviation career at the age of 17 in Cartersville, Georgia. During college he worked as a flight instructor and corporate pilot. After completing his medical training at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia he was first designated as an Aviation Medical Examiner in 1998.

As the first Medical Director for Phoenix Air, Dr. Tillman was soon type rated in the LR-JET series and shortly thereafter the CE-500 series. He also has experience on the G-159 Gulfstream I and G-1159 G-III with international experience to include multiple North Atlantic crossings.

In addition to airplanes Dr. Tillman is a commercial helicopter pilot and helicopter flight instructor having flown multiple trips from Georgia to Alaska in rotorcraft and maintains a helipad and hangar on his farm.

Dr. Tillman’s current airplane is a Citation II and his medical practice is limited to AME practice with a strong focus on complex special issuance and HIMS cases.
